Show Me Love (Hansen vs Puentez Mix)
Mobin Master
I know I know, this song is SO overplayed, everyone has done a remix, and you’re probably tired of singing along. Right? Well whether you’re over it or still under its power, this new version of ‘Show Me Love’ will drag you kicking and screaming back to the dance-floor. With newly recorded vocals (sorry Robin S) and a huge euphoric synth, Hansen and Puentez have created a real gem. These guys have dumped a huge load of tracks on the scene recently, almost all are great remixes of classics; it’s definitely worth following them. Check out the return to the old-skool in the second breakdown ;o)

Natural Blues 2009
Moby vs Jamie Fisher
I’ve been in search of decent Moby remixes for as long as I can remember, so to stumble across something like this is extremely satisfying. Jamie Fisher is still a relatively fresh face on the world-wide club scene, but with releases being attached to HedKandi records and Ministry Of Sound records, he’s definitely moving in the right direction! ‘Natural Blues 2009′ has that lovely rolling feel to it that is so hard to describe. It’s techno with more obvious direction, or trance knocked down 3 octaves! Whatever it is, I love it’s never ending feel that tells me to dance till I drop. I’m waffling now, so just give it a listen and you’ll see what I mean!

Rhythm Is A Dancer (Mobin Master Mix)
Snap
My first experience of Mobin Master that really hit home was in 2008 with his remixes of ‘Show Me Love’ and ‘Stand Up’. He’s got a very chunky style, pushing tough bass-lines and exciting percussion, and he really excels at going to work on the 90’s vocals! His take on this classic vocal really grabs your attention and is sure to be the focus of many peak moments on dace-floors across the world. Be sure to check out Mobin Master’s other releases, if you like tough remixes of old-skool classics, then you won’t be disappointed.

La Candela (original mix)
Steve Angello
Is this house music? Comments below please, because I’m just not sure. It’s about the right speed, and it’s made by a very well known house music producer, but is that enough? I guess the more important thing is whether or not you like it, and whether it’ll work on a dance-floor. As of yet, I’ve not had the chance to play this tune to a crowd, so I’ll have to leave the second question for you to answer, but as for the first question; yes, I like it. It’s very very south American, in ‘feel’ at any rate, I get the feeling that the vocals may be African, but please don’t take my word for it. Steve Angello has always bemused me, and I thought he couldn’t possibly stray farther from the beaten track than ‘Che Flute’, but ‘La Candela’ proves me wrong.

Let Me Be Real (original mix)
Fedde Le Grand ft Mitch Crown
Fedde Le Grand has matured in the most fantastic way since ‘Put Your Hands Up For Detroit’, and his latest release ‘Let Me Be Real’ is his most beautiful work to-date. Mitch Crowns vocals have depth and meaning, and Fedde sticks to what he knows, letting the synths do the talking. It’s such an original sound it’s hard to compare to any other tracks, but then again, we’re used to Fedde Le Grand breaking the mould of house music. I remember being blown away by both ‘Put Your Hands Up For Detroit’ and ‘Let Me Think About It’ based solely on the harshness of the bass-lines, and expecting crowds to be scared away! As we all know, these tracks had the opposite effect, and began a new age of commercial-electro that over-took the charts for the next couple of years. Fedde’s own dub version of this song is also well worth a listen, especially if your a piano lover.
