How Soon Is Now? (extended original)
Julie McKnight (vox) Dirty South, Sebastian Ingrosso, David Guetta
With 3 of the world’s biggest names behind it, it’s no surprise that this long-awaited track has reached all of it’s expectations. This will be a dance-floor bomb, and I’m sure it’s success will continue in the more mature clubs through-out the summer and beyond. ‘How Soon Is Now’ drives chunky pianos reminiscing the 90′s, soaring vocals, and enough of a tribal groove to keep it incredibly current.

I Wanna Go Crazy (original mix)
David Guetta ft. Will I.am
Funny track this… Not sure exactly what I like about it. It might just be Will I.am’s monstrous vocals, it could be the nasty Guetta synth that tears the rear-end off this track, but more likely it’s the way a crowd reacts to this stomper. Chuck it on and watch them bounce. Simple is as simple does, therefore I like it.

West End Girls (2009 club mix)
James Talk & Ridney
‘West End Girls’ has all the makings of a club-land hit. It follows confidently in the footsteps of a lot of 2009 successes, and would fit comfortably into any set, whether it’s peak time or chill out. The haunting strings make for a beautiful break down and an attention grabbing build. The drop could easily have fallen into that understated minimal vibe that has dominated 2009, but a clever beep-lead will get hands in the air and grins on faces.

Sweat (original mix)
The Cut & Mind Electric
‘Sweat’ is a monster. Both the mixing artists are renowned for their nasty raspy bass-lines, but this is just something else. The way this bass-line cuts is enough to rival the hardest in Benni Benassi’s collection, and what I love the most is the way they’ve kept it interesting. So often you come across a track with a monster bass-line that just repeats on itself for 8 minutes… But not here! The bass-line evolves and so does the vocal to climax in a big sweaty mess! Exactly the intention I think!
05
Step By Step (big room mix)
Laidback Luke & Gregor Salto
Now we all know that Laidback Luke is the big boy in the world of house music at the moment. Just take a few seconds to youtube his name and watch him working live, it’s a real sight to behold. However, I’ve included this track because it’s so different! It’s not minimal, it’s not too techy, and it’s got a 90′s garage style vocal! This is not at all what we expect of Laidback Luke, but boy does it make you wanna dance!
